Problem with URLs

Post by olano »

I'm having trouble adding URLs to posts and to my signature. Url-tag tend to show up like plain text (like this [url]http://www.vienna-expats.at[/url]) or I get an error saying "You cannot use certain BBCodes: [url]."

Is that forum policy or is it a problem on my side (I'm on a Mac using Safari)? It looks to me like most others are fine with posting links.

Presume you want to have: www.bandcamp.com

The tag should contain url=http://www.bandc ... before the tag you need to add the address as it should appear in your sig.
Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.

Still not working for me. When BBcode is enabled I still get the error: "You cannot use certain BBCodes: [url]"

I followed all the instructions on http://www.vienna-expats.at/index.php/c ... faq/bbcode

My options show the following:
BBCode is ON
[img] is ON
[flash] is OFF
[url] is ON
Smilies are ON

I just checked your sig through the ACP - you had selected

Disable BBCode

and

Do not automatically parse URLs

which was why your signature was not showing the link...
