Working part-time

Post by Craael » Tue Feb 20, 2018 9:33 pm

Hello everyone,
In June i am moving from Ireland to Vienna. In Vienna for the first 2 months i am going to do German course because i need to improve my language skills to get some full time job. So, at the beginning i am going to work only few hours/week and my question is if i am eligible for some social allowance/suppliment while i am working only ar part-time job?

In Ireland i have been working since 2015.

Thank you very much for any info.

Unemployed benefits over here are only available for the unemployed - and subject to having paid into the system for more than the minimum amount of time.

While working (whether part-time or full-time) you are not able to claim benefits.
Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.
