Buying bedsheets and kids clothes in Vienna

Post by janecote »

Hello! I am here from the US and seeking the equivalent of Crate and Barrel for soft flannel sheets and regular sheets that are soft and good quality. I have tried Leiner and Betten Reiter and find the designs too outdated and the material very scratchy. In both respects like what you would have found in Kmart in the states in the 80s. Any suggestions for shopping for those things here?
Kids clothes, is there an equivalent to Carter's pajamas? Very low cost but also pretty soft even though they are cheap, and they lasted much longer than what I have found here. So far I have tried H&M but the knees are torn within a few wears, whereas the Carters lasted us a good year. Any suggestions for cheap jammies and other clothing for kids would be appreciated! My kids really miss the fleece footies in winter and outgrew their last pairs last year :(

We have bought Hatley stuff - there is a shop on Sonnbergplatz in the 19th for their pyjamas. We also tend to buy online (previously UK, now mainland Europe). We got a lot of the fitted sheets from Parndorf at the Outlet Center.
Vienna is like an Ikea sofa - you know you should upgrade, but why bother when it is this comfortable.

Thank you! Somehow I am only seeing this months later, but still look forward to trying out your suggestions.
Cheers,
Jane
