i've seen trailers for it - does it have the feel of low budget then or is it all good?

Is it actually set in the 9th district? I just moved there! When is the premier?

Totally awesome movie. I saw it in the States while on vacation and it was amazing. It has a very odd start, so just go with it. Everything will be revealed in due time. I will warn you, though, it is a touch ... gory. But it's an amazing story and really does parallel with how the world is now; especially Africa.

I also thought the first 10-15 minutes were a bit strange... but I guess there was no other way to cram that much backstory into the beginning.

I saw this yesterday, and my friend is convinced there will be a sequel.. I dont think so.
Knowledge? Opinions?

It was good, but my expectations might have been too high because of everyone telling me how awesome it was. Nothing beats inglorious basterds

Inglorious Basterds is one of the worst movies ever.

I would be interested to know what you consider one of the BEST movies ever.

I personally think that Blood Diamond is an excellent movie and one of the best. The Matrix Trilogy (not one single movie, obviously) is also really good, though the Star Wars series is better if we're talking sci-fi.

Probably the BEST movie I have seen in the past few months, though, was My Sister's Keeper (Beim Leben meiner Schwester should you want to look for it in a German theater here in Vienna). That was an absolutely amazing story. Every actor in that one deserves some kind of an award or recognition. PS I Love You was also really good, though my girlfriend says the book is better (when isn't it?).
